Job title: Sales Technician
Hours: 35-40 hours per week

Location: Carman, MB and your home office
Base Salary: $12-$16.00 based on qualifications
We provide customers with high quality and cost effective products in a fast and friendly manner for the landscape and water quality industry. Established in 2008, we supply water quality solutions for ponds, lakes and lagoons across Manitoba and Saskatchewan and landscape lighting to Western Canada. Our goal is to maintain our customer base and grow it. We believe in creating a positive atmosphere for our employees and we strive to provide fast, friendly and knowledgeable service for our customers.
To promote water quality solutions for retail and commercial customers. Candidate must me be self-motivated and able to work independently. Candidate must be willing to learn about water quality solutions and can positively promote these solutions with potential customers.
50% – Promote water quality solutions to existing and new customers. Reach out to existing and new customers to see if they require assistance with their project. Maintain good customer service and sales. Research and find new contacts.
20% – Respond to customer questions via email, phone and in person. Through training you will learn to analyze the water condition and choose the best approach to treat and improve the water quality.
10% – Install and maintain aeration and ultrasonic systems.
10% – Write social media posts to promote product line. Update websites and some data entry.
10% – Write proposals, pilot studies and blogs based on information provided
You will report to Sales Manager, occasionally work as team and work independently in your home office. You will be expected to bring new ideas to the table. A weekly to do list will be determined with supervisor and reviewed at the end of the week.
You will be in contact with current and new clients on the phone and occasionally in person.
Effective communication skills written and oral

Pursuing a degree in, environmental sciences, engineering, or business
High school diploma or equivalent
Efficient computer skills
Class 5 driver’s license

Experience in sales & knowledge about water quality
Pleasure craft operators card
CPR and first aid certified
Responsible to the customer for decisions made, liaisons and results delivered.
Physical Demands of the Job
70% of this positon will require sitting at a computer and talking on the phone. 15% will include traveling to visit customers. 10% may include installation/maintenance of aeration and/or ultrasonic systems
Occasional overtime. Mileage will be covered for customer visits.
Installation, requires working outdoors sometimes in rough terrain, bush country and on the water in a boat in many types of weather if it is safe to do so. Light manual labor trenching, backfilling, connections etc.
Hazards include- working near water, operating or being near heavy equipment during installations.
